This 1930’s building received a total make-over: not only did we transform its interior with strategically re-arranging its spaces and bringing its unique character into life, but we also added value by upgrading its energy performance and living comfort: High insulated roof and facade panels, and high performance windows protect its skin from unwanted heat losses. A heat pump in combination with solar thermal collectors on the roof supply the heating system (floor heating) while an electric cv and solar panels cover the needs for electricity. The apartments benefit from better interior climate while the residents can enjoy the beautiful view to one of Rotterdam’s nicest canals!
